Cupping Therapy

Cupping is another modality of Chinese Medicine which uses glass jars to create a vacuum/suction on certain parts of the body.  When qi and blood become stagnated (stuck) and are not flowing smoothly, a blockage in the flow of qi and blood occurs, and one will feel pain.  Cupping breaks up the stagnation, brings new blood to the area to nourish the muscles that have been deprived, allowing for the free flow of qi and blood.

A 5 - 10 minute cupping session is equivalent to the effects of a 1 hour deep tissue massage.  It is highly effective for pain cases as well as respiratory and digestive issues.  Utilizing cupping with acupuncture will provide a cumulative effect on progress, which therefore cuts down the number of treatments required for the alleviation of pain.
